Celebrating 18 Years of Data Excellence with VLDB!

8 September 2026  ·  jessicaleighwindell

We turned 18 last month, which makes VLDB older than most of the platforms we work on. We turned 18 last month, which makes VLDB older than most of the platforms we work on.

We started in 2008 with a single focus: very large databases, and keeping them fast, stable and predictable. Several platform generations later, that is still the job.

Mostly, though, thank you. Eighteen years only happens if clients keep asking you back and it comes down to a few simple things.

01We solve the actual problem rather than presenting one.
02We build governance and data control in from the start.
03We work as part of your team rather than at arm’s length.
04We design for your next five years, not just the next sprint.

That is how we have built long relationships with organisations like Lloyds Banking Group, the NHS, Audi, WHSmith, JD Sports, Iceland, Just Eat, L’Oréal, Nokia, SEAT, Very, HM Government and the Metropolitan Police.

What we offer

The data and AI platform is one stack. DBAaaS sits on its own. They work separately or together.

DBAaaS

Full operational accountability for MPP data warehouse platforms. Monitoring, tuning, patching and incident response against real SLAs.

PS

Professional Services

Teradata, Greenplum, PostgreSQL, cloud migration and high-availability architecture. Still most of what we do.

Here’s to the next eighteen years

Whether it’s a cloud migration, a platform that needs optimising, or sovereign AI insight with DBAsk, chances are we have done it before.

We’re happy to talk it through with no obligation, whether it’s live now or sitting on next year’s roadmap.
